Vedic Astrology

       Jyotish, in Sanskrit, means, “the science of light.” Jyotish is the ancient Indian science of using the positions and movements of the planets and stars to produce a blueprint of the karmic circumstances active in our lives - an analysis of our personality traits and fortune in life. True astrology is indeed a “map of our karma.”

       All services include a 30 minute sit-down with the astrologer, “The Basics of Vedic Astrology” handout,  and one follow up e-mail or short conversation.

1) Basic Birth Chart Reading   $ 40
    
    - Primary questions of each client answered
    - Analysis of each planet: Positive, Mixed, Negative, Strong, Mediocre, or Weak
    - Analysis of major yogas (combinations of influences in the chart)
    - General Commentary: Personality strengths and weaknesses, strengths and weaknesses in karmic fortune, spirituality, health, career & money, romantic relationships, marriage, and children

2) Level II Birth Chart Reading   $ 65  (includes all of the Basic Reading, and…)
    - Greater analysis of planet and house characteristics, including planetary aspects, and a greater coverage of yogas, including lordship yogas
    - Analysis and explanation of karmic fortune during major and minor life periods

3) Daily Karmic Report / Moon Transit Analysis    $  75
    Why do we have “good” and “bad” days? There could be a number of factors. According to the Vedic astrological science, karma comes in waves, ebbs, and flows. This report, which can be used for the rest of your life,  helps you know beforehand which days are your strongest and weakest, when you should plan big events and when you should maybe lay low, when you should “seize the day” and when it might be better to wait until a day when fortune is more favorable towards you.

4) Muhurtha    $ 75
    (Selection of Auspicious Days for Important Beginnings, Events, or Ceremonies)
    According to Jyotish, it is best to perform important functions on days that are favorable and strong, so as to bring about the greatest amount of fortune from one’s endeavors. Muhurtha involves many different analytical factors, and is usually used for choosing dates and times for such events as marriage ceremonies, opening a business, or meeting with important people.

5) Romantic / Marriage Compatibility  $75
    How is it that amongst the more than 3 billion members of each human gender, most of us find it hard to find “the one for us?” Well, Vedic knowledge tells us that human beings are incredibly complex entities, with not only various personality characteristics, backgrounds, and desires, but also with many different subtle energies as well. This is why we “vibe” with some people and with others we don’t. Human beings also have various karmas, and this is why our life paths connect with others for varying amounts of time, and with others we don’t directly connect. A compatibility chart can go a long way in helping one see beforehand who and what is right for each individual, and in helping one understand the nature of relationships.
